The Japan Institute of Metals and Materials

Special Issue: "Crystallographic Orientation Distribution and Related Properties in Advanced Materials IV"

The editorial committee of Materials Transactions is planning to publish a special issue on “Crystallographic Orientation Distribution and Related Properties in Advanced Materials IV” as July 2023.
The committee would like to invite many contributions of original articles from around the globe for this special issue.

Objective and topics of coverage are as follows:
Crystallographic Orientation Distribution is often turned attention to improve properties of crystalline materials, such as metal, ceramics and polymers. Most of researches and developments have been performed based on crystallographic orientation to improve formability and magnetic permeability in several steels and light metals for applications to industries on transportation and others. The aim of this issue is to discuss the Crystallographic Orientation Distribution not only for academic interest on its formation mechanism but also industrial requirement related to improvement of properties in several fields.

Topics:
metals, alloys, ceramics, polymers, texture, preferred orientation, recrystallization, X-ray diffraction, neutron diffraction, synchrotron radiation, electron back scatter diffraction (EBSD)

Manuscripts due: February 15, 2023
